Launching a holistic CX onboarding training program to empower 105 new hires to achieve 95% customer satisfaction

Given the sensitive financial data handled by Brex’s customer-facing teams, comprehensive training is essential from the outset. 

To address this need, the team developed and implemented a holistic onboarding program to ensure the success of new CX hires. Within the initial 10 months of onboarding 105 new employees through their three-week program on WorkRamp, Brex achieved:

  • Okta Single Sign-on (SSO). With SSO enabled and custom attributes synced via WorkRamp’s integration with Okta, the Brex team gives learners easy access to login and ensures they’re all getting the right training content
  • Leaderboards. The Brex team activates company leaderboards to help drive friendly competition amongst learners and boost engagement
  • Slack Integration. Integrating WorkRamp with their Slack instance, the Brex team automates assignment reminders to help drive assignment completion

  • On-the-job training. The Brex team assigns shadowing sessions with subject matter experts (SMEs) to solidify role expectations and provide consistent reference points for scaffolding knowledge
  • Microlearning modules. Using microlearning modules, the Brex team breaks training content into short, digestible modules designed to help new hires quickly access and absorb information
  • Gamification. The Brex team includes interactive, game-like elements such as points and badges to recognize learners’ achievements and add an element of friendly competition
