WorkRamp’s Nine-Year Anniversary in Photos

We just crossed our nine-year anniversary for WorkRamp. When Arsh Mand and I founded WorkRamp, we didn’t know what the next decade would have in store for us.

In reflecting back on this milestone, I wanted to highlight nine of our favorite memories with a few pictures:

1. Getting into Y Combinator

We applied last minute to YC and had a ten-minute interview. Surprisingly, we got in and we officially “made it” as a startup.

2. Raising our first round of funding

Shortly after YC, we raised a $1.8M seed round from the likes of Joe Montana, Initialized, and Susa Ventures. We were also rated as a top 10 startup coming out of YC!

3. Making our first million & raising Series A

It took us a bit, but we hit our first million in late 2018 and raised our Series A in early 2019 from Bow Capital. To celebrate, we went to Napa with the team. Check out early team below:

4. Moving to a real office in SF

We had to grow out of our coworking space and makeshift apartments eventually. We finally moved into our first standalone office in SF in 2019.

5. Building and launching our second product – Academies (Customer Learning Cloud)

We launched our second product, Academies, in 2020. This was our first foray into Customer Education. It was extremely well-received by our customer base. The picture below is of the founding engineering team for Academies, who went away to an Airbnb for a week to design its initial architecture.

6. Moving to our remote-first era

COVID hit, and little did we know, this was going to be the start of our remote-first era. I’m glad we built the foundation of our culture in-person first, as it’s translated well into a remote-first environment. Coupled with raising our Series B from OMERS Ventures, we were ready to scale in a remote-first way.

7. Raising Series C

We raised our Series C in 2022 from the likes of Salesforce, Susa Ventures, and Jack Altman

8. Launching the Learning Cloud

With our Series C investment, we were able to expand our product suite rapidly and invest in critical customer infrastructure.

9. Celebrating WorkRamp 2.0 at our company offsite

Just 2 months ago, we got the entire company together in San Diego to kick off our efforts around WorkRamp 2.0. This is a future in which we are becoming the easiest, most intelligent, and fully integrated LMS.

And with that, a fast nine years flew by. We can’t wait to see what the next nine have in store for us!

Thanks for all of your support along the journey.
